Our client, a forward thinking Higher Education provider based in Leicestershire, is currently recruiting for a Senior HR Advisor to join their central HR team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic position which will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to be involved in a broad selection of activities including project management, change processes and policy development in addition to providing an efficient solutions-focussed service across the organisation, including effective generalist and/or specialist HR support to HR business partners, the HR management team and client groups.
Paying a salary ranging from c£35,000 to £41,000pa, they offer a selection of fantastic benefits including enhanced pension (up to 19%), 27 days annual leave PLUS closure days and bank holidays, and remote working (1/2 days on-site, 3/4 days working from home), all within a friendly, rewarding and modern setting
Duties will include (but not are limited to):
Provide an effective and efficient HR generalist or specialist service to HR business partners and client groups
Provide accurate, effective and pragmatic advice to Line Managers on the management of employee relations issues and cases such as discipline and grievances
Redesign ways of working to increase efficiency by identifying core current working practices, envisioning future processes and ways of working
Conduct gap analysis to understand what needs to change to move from current practice to future practice
Deliver projects designed to achieve HR Division or organisation wide goals and objectives
Maintain and manage an HR/Employee Relations caseload to ensure that cases are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
Revise and develop policies and processes
Minimum CIPD Level 5 certificate or equivalent experience
An up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of employment law and its application to across the full range of HR issues within a Higher Education setting
Successful experience of working on HR projects or HR parts of wider projects
Successful experience of revising and developing policies and processes
