Job description

Our client, based in Portsmouth, is currently recruiting for a Temporary Accommodation Officer on a 2-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position up to £21ph (Umbrella).

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable adults, hold an enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years taken out within the last three years and also have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

·         Working in 58-unit temporary accommodation service housing families

·         Managing a caseload of 10 clients

·         Creating risk individualise support plans and risk assessment

·         Signposting customers to additional support providers

·         Ensuring that all safeguarding protocols are followed

·         Carrying out property checks

 

Experience required:

·         Experience working with families

·         Experience working with people with complex needs

 

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

·         Good organisational and time management skills

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

·         Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team

·         Risk assessment and management

·         Experience of supporting vulnerable people or groups
