Job description

We are currently partnering a Local Authority in Oxfordshire, in their recruitment for a Planning & Highways Lawyer on a locum basis for 3-6 months.

The team have capacity for full-time hours but part-time applicants will be considered, and the rate is negotiable subject to PQE.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Handling a mixed caseload of Planning and Highways matters, including attending meetings and advising Council Officers and Members in regards to legal issues, governance and procedure
  • Drafting and advising s.106 agreements, CIL, certificates of lawful use and advising on other planning related matters
  • Advising on, drafting and completing highways agreements, including deeds of dedication and footpaths orders

  • Remote working, with desired attendance at committee meetings
  • Working hours:

  • Up to 37-hours per week
  • No out-of-hours attendance required
